Alright, so on each of my doors the cloth that goes over the fatty padding is starting to come off, no more stickyness to hold it there.
Should I rip off the cloth and clean off the padding that was underneath and just have it like that? *Update* Alright, so I ripped the cloth pieces off the doors and used Goo Gone and a tough pad a bunch of times to get rid of the ****ty glue and whatnot which was still there after the cloth came off. Problem is it's alittle faded and whatnot and theres tiny tiny tiny areas of the **** yet that won't go away. So I'm thinking I should just paint it. But I'm not sure what kind of paint to use for one, and secondly how to go about painting it without getting it on the rest of the door and whatnot.. I had the exact same problem as you! I ended up ripping off the cloth (it was faded anyways) and it looks much much cleaner now! But I will tell you, it wasn't fun cleaning off that glue. Me and a friend used some goo-gone, and a steel wool pad. I like it a lot better this way!
