well, after working on my 4agze swap for the past while, im giving up and looking for a new car... there are too many problems being uncovered on my motor, and my car in general after ripping it apart... so now here is my ordeal, i just have no idea as to what i want, my budget is around 25, 27 grand and under, so i definately want something fast... but it seems like everything i look into doesnt have a strong enough block to handle boost without internals... im looking at either a 350z, an s2000 or a 05 wrx sti, and maybe an rx8, but the rx8 is starting to fall off the more i read into it. anyone got any suggestions, or maybe know something that im missing? i want something fast, preferably rwd, with a nice interior, and a g35 isnt on the list cuz the only ones in that are in that price range are really high milage.
any ideas input or suggestions? |

QUOTE(quicknstyle @ May 14, 2006 - 10:22 PM) well, after working on my 4agze swap for the past while, im giving up and looking for a new car... there are too many problems being uncovered on my motor, and my car in general after ripping it apart... so now here is my ordeal, i just have no idea as to what i want, my budget is around 25, 27 grand and under, so i definately want something fast... but it seems like everything i look into doesnt have a strong enough block to handle boost without internals... im looking at either a 350z, an s2000 or a 05 wrx sti, and maybe an rx8, but the rx8 is starting to fall off the more i read into it. anyone got any suggestions, or maybe know something that im missing? i want something fast, preferably rwd, with a nice interior, and a g35 isnt on the list cuz the only ones in that are in that price range are really high milage. any ideas input or suggestions? I assume you want to put some moderate modification into whatever you get since you're looking for something that can handle boost on stock internals. Lots of cars can't be boosted too far on stock internals. Someone mentioned Audi TT... stay away from the 1.8T motor, notorious timing chain problems, but I mention Audi because the 2000-2002 S4's with the 2.7L bi-turbo V6's are MONSTERS for boost. Upgrade your turbos and fuel delivery and the block can see 500hp easily and pretty reliably. Plus it has the luxury you want. |
