Today, I took out my Fidanza flywheel and my Exedy OEM replacement pressure plate to look at them. I wanted to see how the pressure plate would look mounted on the flywheel, so I tried to fit the studs on the flywheel through the holes on the pressure plate. I tried many times and rotated the pressure plate but the two parts just won't go together. The holes and the studs are off by just a hair, so I just wanted to know if this is a big problem and I should be worried or if it is a minor problem and it can be easily fixed. Thanks

Thanks sounds like you may have gotten the wrong parts somewhere along the line... -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

QUOTE sounds like you may have gotten the wrong parts somewhere along the line... No, I went back to check the part numbers for both parts and made sure it was for a 2.2L 5SFE. The thing is that they aren't off by even a millimeter, just by a HAIR! So can the pressure plate hole be sanded just a tiny bit or will that probably cause a problem. |
