I had a 91 GTS for four years and the driver's door never wanted to stay open unless I took a few seconds and made sure it was all the way open and resting in place before I let go. I always thought it was a quirk of the car, cause it wasn't in the greatest shape, and I dreamed of the day I'd get a new car thinking a different one would solve that problem.
I got a 96 GT recently and the door has the same issues. Everytime I open the door and give what I think is a sufficient enough shove to keep it open, it always wants to close itself back up, and its usually while my left leg it halfway out of the car. I always have bruises on my leg where the door shuts on it... I was just wondering if anyone else has this same annoyance with their cars since I've had two Celicas and both of them behaved the same. Peace. |
