 Transmission from Solara., The solara 5sfe and v6 ? Feasible |

My tranny just blew and im looking to replace my tranny from a Solara. The Solara comes with a 5sfe or the v6. Is there any differnce between those two 5spd tranny?

yes there is a diffrence, the solara v6 uses a E153. it cannot work on a 5SFE unless you get a custom made clutch disk.
i'm not sure what transmission the solora 5SFE uses but i'm positive it bolts up, however you might have problems fitting axles, shifter, mounts etc... it could also be identical to the GT tranny but with diffrent gearing. your safest bet would be to get a celica GT tranny... or swap
