I've heard both sides where people say getting water in the intercooler can hurt the motor. others say it helps cooling. I personally think it wont harm anything. can someone clear this up? thanks

yes the st205 had a top mount w2a.
The only time you have to worry about intercooler and rain water is when the intake to your turbo is really close to the ground. Other then that, the intercooler system should be a seal closed system and cant with stand the elements. There are actually kits out there they spray water over the intercooler to help cooling. |
