 Shield infront of the headers, Do u need it? |

I saw some of celicas that members have and some don't have the shield infront of their header . Do u need it because mine is rusty and I either need to take it off or paint it? Does it damage your engine if u don't have it because I want it off?

why does everyone call them headerS?
it's a header. no plural. if you have a V-8, V-6, V-10, V-12...sure...headers... but, we have an inline four...header.
