 Power antenna issues |

Hi,
My power antenna at the last inches of extension makes horrible noises like it is stuck trying to extend - real bad and loud. Any ideas howto fix it? Thanks! |

If it's getting bad reception in the up position it makes me think that something is disconnected or not grounded properly. Is your stereo after market or is it original? Have you ever worked on your antenna assembly before? I went through some antenna issues myself and when I finally just spent the 40 bucks to install the aftermarket one that I mentioned above it straightened everything out. I don't recommend replacing the mast because it's as costly as my entire new unit and the first time I replaced the mast it still was a little messed up and then it ultimately stopped working again not long after.
