So my swap is finally done. Had a 5s dropped in my st. the engine had 71k miles on it. I paid 1100 upfront for the labor...plus about another 800 for overhead. Had to get a new alternator...new radiator....new fan...2 new shifter cables....two new stabilizers at the back (nothing to do with the swap...but they needed changing so why not smile.gif ) and got my fogs wired up. I'm not done has yet though...i want to swap the dash from the gt into my st with the original miles.

The only thing i am really unhappy with is the clutch...its going bad....slipping a lot. But i can understand....at 71k miles....it was the original clutch it its most defiantly time to change it. I am not looking for a cheap stage 2 or 3 clutch to drop in.

I must say....even with the clutch not giving me any where close to all the power....the car is still reeeally fast. I am very pleased with it. Its a whole different world from the 7a. I can't wait to get my clutch in there to enjoy the car as it was ment.

so....i guess you can say phase 1 of my 5sfte is complete.
Phase 2....clutch smile.gif

yeah the 5s feels fast because it's torque-y. but feels very slow in the high rpm range.
