I've been told that it is a lot better to get a celica 3sgte with a mr2 turbo transmission. I have an st celica and I was wondering if I was to get the mr2 tranny and the celica 3sgte would it bolt up to the celica gt engine/tranny mounts or would it be a bitch to do? Also, would I have to use an mr2 shift linkage?

It is difficult to pull off but imo i think its worth it. I used a st205 rear mount, st185 drivers side mount, st204 pass. side & front mount. As for the linkages im still using my stock ST shift cables. the cables feel a little funny at first but youll get used to it. for the axels i used 94 V6 camry axels with mr2 turbo inner axels and they fit perfectly. the hardest part of making the e153 work is getting the JDM rear mount and transferring over the shift linkages to the other side. You have to drill and tap into the tranny. I would recomend taking it to a Pro for that part unless your good enough to do it yourself. (i wassnt so i had to drop the tranny and have it redone by a local welder
