Ok so just recently ive been getting a CEL and the car has been hesitating under full boost at ~4k rpm. it also stumbles pretty often when it's just idleing.

the most recent changes ive made are my new 3" exhaust, raised boost to 13psi (for 1 day), gapped my plugs down to .028, and capped my turbo pressure sensor (to get rid of fuel cut and raise the boost.)

now i get this code 52 and pretty bad overall performance...it was running so well, so something i did messed it up.

just FYI,
if your knock sensor IS blown, the ECU will hold you in "safe" mode, to try and prevent you from blowing the engine.
i would be sure to get that fixed ASAP, its critical to the proper operation of the motor.
then, its time to start trying to find out why it blew... the hesitation you feel is the ecu pulling timing in response to the knock system on the 3sgte.

what are reasons for a knock sensor going bad...ive read that backfiring and detonation are bad for it. anything else?

i'll probably just get the ATS knock sensor. i know where the sensor is located, i just can see it. is it an easy replacement?
