Just a quick question, whats the smallest depth wheel you can get to fit on a GT4?
Would a 17x7 clear the brakes or would it have to be 17x7.5 or even 17x8? |

I've just put new rims on my GT4 and the manufacturer recommended a 7" width for 17s and I think the sit a little bit far inside the bodywork. The previous wheels wer shod with 235 rubber but seemed to reduce the steering response at low speed, (at least i think so as the new wheels steer so much better.) I'm saving up for another set of wheel because the ones I want I'll have to import and I can't finance but when the time comes I think I'll split the difference in widths.
The new wheels are 17x7 with a 35 offset and clear the calipers fine. The previous wheels needed a spacer to get clearence, which is illegal here, but they were on the car since it arrived in the country and had never been picked up on. These are the ones I'm saving for that will fit. -------------------- |
