Good post! I can totally feel you when you were describing the diminished characteristic of the 7th gen. When you said that you don't know what it is about the 7th gen that disappoints you, I highly agree with you in regards to the lack of class or prestige. Since the advent of the GT-FOUR, we've seen the Celica pushed to its limits on the tracks and in the rally world. However, the 7th gen lacks that characteristic. Fun to drive? Maybe. Does it uphold the reputation that it once had? Not any longer. I don't take into how people complain that the 7th gens are all over the road nowadays; but I do agree with how a lot of the 7th gen owners (mostly kids) are ignorant about their own cars, as well as previous gens. But you know, we were all at that stage at some point in our lives. I'm 25 now. I can still remember joining my first racing team and was still learning about the whole seen. I can honestly say that I was ignorant in high school and thought that I could just run down to any local tuner shop and purchase a turbo kit. But times have changed; I've grown and learned a lot since then and I'm sure that those young ignorant 7th gen owners will eventually (I hope) become more educated as they grow older. -Ray This post has been edited by kuya1284: Jul 5, 2003 - 3:37 PM |
