I've been looking into the option of buying a Greddy SP-1 or SP-2 catback exhaust for my 1999 Celica GT Hatchback. Everywhere I find it, they specify that it is for 94-97 Celica, not mentioning 98 or 99 models. I wasn't aware of any differences in exhaust behind the cat-converter in 98 and 99 models.

My question is: Will either of these work on a 98 or 99 Celi? Has anyone tried this?

PS - Here's an example for what I've found while shopping: http://www.sportcompactonly.com/product.aspx?p=2069&c=21&l=2

Notice: "94-97 Toyota Celica GT"

Well, I'm not sure you can find the SP1 anymore (If you can more power to ya). You can get the SP2 and that should work for 94-99 Celicas... pretty sure. Anyways, for either exhaust, you may have to drill a hole for your O2 sensor which for later model 6gc's, comes behind the cat (see how-to article). My 94 didnt have that sensor... so I didnt worry about it.

You may know this: the SP1 and SP2 are different as far as design. The SP1 has a flater/smaller muffler and smaller diameter exhuast tip (I think). Both look great though.

I hope Im right on my info... if not I beg for ur mercy.... smile.gif
