Ok, the Eclipse cd deck was installed professionally(cant go wrong with a 1 year theft replacement), and I am almost positive it has an stock amp. I dont think they would have hooked it back up to the amp. So at volume 68+(out of 80) and not very loud, the music is unclean and blares. I do not understand. Should I just buy a new deck thats unamplified and do it myself? Or rewire the speakers to go to the deck?

Once again, I AM FAMILIAR WITH WHAT DISTORTION IS. I understand the concept of music being loud and bass blaring. However, my bass is ALL THE WAY DOWN(-6). It is at volume 68 it is PERFECT CRYSTAL CLEAR SOUND - and at 69 PURE DISTORTION. One notch in volume should NOT do this. Sorry to be so blunt about it but I keep getting the same responces.
