my 5sfte is running rich at idle. I have to take out 30% of fuel with my safc in order to get the 13-14.7 ish a/f ratio.
set up: 255 lph pump 440cc injectors everything else is stock What could be causing the problem???? could having the engine retared to much at idle be the cause of the ecu not being able to adjust to a rich mixture????? This post has been edited by urbandork: May 15, 2006 - 12:15 AM |

I was just thinking today of a possible solution to the idle/low RPM rich issues you guys have with your SAFC II setups.....use the HKS Twin Spark unit, since they make a plug and play harness for the 3SGTE/5SFE/2JZGE. That would probably ignite the richness down low, and while it wouldn't fix the fact that its rich at idle it would at least be more willing to ignite the mixture.
Only bad thing is the price.....its almost $450 for the unit new, and $30-40 for the harness. For that price you could have EManage which would solve the problem the right way. ![]() -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |
