When turned up past a certian point music blares, On eclipse deck with stock amp Options

Ok, the Eclipse cd deck was installed professionally(cant go wrong with a 1 year theft replacement), and I am almost positive it has an stock amp. I dont think they would have hooked it back up to the amp. So at volume 68+(out of 80) and not very loud, the music is unclean and blares. I do not understand. Should I just buy a new deck thats unamplified and do it myself? Or rewire the speakers to go to the deck?

i really dont know why it would do that...my friend works at the local stereo shop but its closed now and no one is answering the phone at his house...if you can bare with it tonight i will go down there tomorrow and ask


also if you have a 4 channel amp definitely hook it up to that...and if it is hooked up...try turning the gain down just a tad.

and make sure that the crossover is at a good spot that the speakers can handle without straining.

the only thing that i would think why it would do that is because the gain on the amp is to high...
