I called Spec and ordered my clutch kit for the swap. They actually have a part number now for this set-up, the information is as follows:
Spec's tech phone number: 1-205-491-8581 I talked with Justin, who helped me out a ton, great guy to deal with. his extension is 108 The part number for the clutch kit is: ST6225S The SECOND (2) in that part number is the number to reference what stage clutch you would like. I chose a stage two clutch, which i was told will hold 400 ft/lbs of torque. If you wanted a stage 3 clutch the number would be as follows: ST6235S or a stage 1 (not recommended if you plan to add any power to the 3sgte) would be: ST6215S etc. etc. For reference this is what Lagos put together: You need the 5fse - disk 5sfe - throwout bearing 5sfe - alignment tool 3sgte - pressure plate 3sgte - flywheel The clutch kit includes all BUT the flywheel. EDIT: The clutch kit they sell is basically a kit for the 3sgte that will bolt onto the 5sfe Tranny. It is the 3s disk with the 5s spline count ![]() For a ballpark figure, i paid 389$ for the stage two clutch kit and after shipping a total of 413$ Hope this helps future swappers! ![]() This post has been edited by jcbass7: Jun 7, 2006 - 2:55 PM |

QUOTE(presure2 @ Jun 7, 2006 - 11:55 AM) you know, a better idea would be to call spec back, and get them to install the 5s spline onto a 3s disk. that way, you get the full clamping power of the pp on the disk. its very common, and very easy for them to do. the 5s disk with the 3s PP is the old school. yeah ask them if the disk is the 3sgte disk with the 5sfe spline count. thats what they did for my clutch. since they have a part number for it now, im sure they are doing the same thing for yours, but its good to doubble check. the 5s disk is a little smaller then the 3s PP. so you dont get full surface contact. it dosnt really cause any issues, but its good to have it cover every inch of the PP if u can -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
