ok, im not an expert...ok i am nowhere close to being one at cars...but.
i was attempting to practice heel toe shifting in my car today, while it wasnt running: -problem, gas pedal is to far away from brake for my foot but as i was down there checking it out i noticed when the pedal was all the way down...it hit carpet/mat...and i thought if the carpet wasnt there would i get that much more out of my throttle? or does max throttle get exceeded before hand? im curious, cause if so, im going to be doing some modifications to my drivers mat....cause thats 1/4 inch...and it may do somthing. can someone tell me if im being stupid or not? thanks -------------------- ![]() |

According to my friend who is a mechanic, he says the reason why the pedal is so far was because of cost reduction when manufacturing. He says there is a spacer or something similar to that to even out the gas and the brakes. Not too sure.
