172.1 (1) If a police officer has reason to believe that a person is driving, or has driven, a motor vehicle on a highway in a race, the officer may,

(a) request that the person surrender his or her driver’s licence;

(b) order the motor vehicle that was being driven by the person to be impounded; or

(c ) both request the surrender of the driver’s licence as provided in clause (a) and order the motor vehicle to be impounded as provided in clause (b).

(9) There is no appeal or review from a licence suspension or impound order under this section.

a 7 year old girl is orphaned now because her parents were hit by a street racer
another 40 something yr old man is dead because of racing his porsche with his cousins benz

if it was my parents (or any of your parents) who were killed in those accidents, i'm sure you'd be singing a different song

i dont street race... i dont drive at excessive speeds... i'm damn glad this came out because i don't want to be the next one killed by street racers thank you very much!

But the fact that it removes due process is rediculous. I thought Canada was 'superior' to the US in terms of civil liberties and social well being. Removing the right to appeal takes away any credibility Canada has for being a 'more free' place to live.
