hey guys. well, my brother has a 2001 celica, and i have a 1999 celica.
people are always telling me that i could have just got 1 year up and got a 7th gen, but i always just asnwer "why? i dont want the 2000 one" and they always just answer by saying they think its "better" but to tell you the truth, i like the 6th generation one more. its more unique in a good way. to me, the 7th generation one looks a bit too stubby and it looks like the rear got cut short and the back bumper is HUMONGOUS. im not hating on the 7th generation, cuz they are great cars. 7th gen gets HELLA good mpg. and i read somewehre that the 7th gen GT 0-60 is 8.5? thats pretty much the same as the 6th gen. |

QUOTE(Akimbo @ Jun 11, 2006 - 8:34 PM) What kinda paint on those rims for the bronze GTS rims? That is hot. That bronze looks just like the Duplicolor Bronze wheel paint you can get in Autozone, Advanced Autoparts, Wal-Mart, etc....one can will do the trick if you do about 2 generous coats which is plenty. I used Duplicolor Gunmetal as seen below in my sig....I did about two coats on all four wheels using one can and with plenty left over. As far as the topic at hand goes, I really believe that both cars are superb. I love the interior build quality and timeless curves of the 6th generation Celica, as well as the agressive look and attitude of the 7gc, along with the option of an awesome N/A motor in the form of 2ZZGE. After I drove a 7th gen GT-S 6-speed I almost sold my 6th gen to buy one i liked it so much, but I also love the Celica I have now. Both are great in many different ways. -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |
