this question was probably asked before.. but i couldnt find a sticky or a thread that answered my question. whats the difference between shocks and struts? my guess is shocks are softer, but i dont really kno thats why im asking.

a strut ties 2 or more points together with 2 bolts at the bottom. a shock ties only 2 points together with one bolt at the bottom. beyond that, theyre the same as far as i know.

Actually... heheh... The shock is an absorber... the strut is a type of suspension. You can have the shock without the strut... but the strut usually includes some type of shock. Make sense?
