I was driving to work today as I normally do almost everyday, when I accelerated at a traffic light. I shifted out of first and tried to put it in second when I first noticed the problem. It was very hard to put it in gear but as a spur of the moment thing i pushed it in. Then when I went to shift out of second it was very difficult and nearly impossible to put it in 3rd. I pulled over to a parking lot to check out the problem and decided it was the synchronization. I can drive it but in order to shift I have to match the rpm, speed, and gear.
any thoughts? This post has been edited by dlx742: Jun 19, 2006 - 1:07 AM |

This cannot be diagnosed over the internet. I had several shifting problems over the last couple years and the best advice I can tell you is to not summarily conclude that "its the syncros". Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. There are a ton of good threads about difficulty shifting and things you can try. Also, go look at mr2oc.com. They have some great threads too. Good luck.
