Is there anyone on this site who has successfully done (or have done) a 3SGTE swap with a GT4 manual tranmission (converted to front wheel drive: NOT all wheel) on a 6GC without losing power to the wheels ??? Or, did you have to get an MR2 tranny since its just front wheel drive?

You should be able to pick up a busted E153 on the MR2 boards. You can then convert the tranny using the parts from the two transmissions together. See the link form earlier in the thread.
Use the ST205 case + gears (better synchros), and the diff + block-off plate from the MR2. Also, think about putting in an LSD at that time, since you have to pull the diff out anyway... At 15-17psi you will be getting around 250whp +/-20hp with an intake and 3" exhaust. -Charlie -------------------- 2003 Subaru WRX Wagon
