I was driving to work today as I normally do almost everyday, when I accelerated at a traffic light. I shifted out of first and tried to put it in second when I first noticed the problem. It was very hard to put it in gear but as a spur of the moment thing i pushed it in. Then when I went to shift out of second it was very difficult and nearly impossible to put it in 3rd. I pulled over to a parking lot to check out the problem and decided it was the synchronization. I can drive it but in order to shift I have to match the rpm, speed, and gear.
any thoughts? This post has been edited by dlx742: Jun 19, 2006 - 1:07 AM |

took it to a friend's transmission shop and found out that i blew a spring out of the clutch disk and there was little to no clutch material left on the disc... so it was time for a new one. Now with the new clutch everything feels so much better. Shifting is smoother, the clutch throw feels good, and driving is so much better
