what turbo are you using?, for NON 3s ppl... dont flame Options

well i've been trying to find another route beside the ct series turbos just cause there's always morethan one way, but everytime there's a big post about anything NOT 3s then the post turns into a 5 page rant about which block is stronger, what pressurethey will hold and so on. SO if you have a GT or ST with a turbo put on then vote and put up some numbers



and please don't flame me because I know 3s's are stronger canse deal with more power, are cheaper and all that.....but I don't have one of those and I'm not lookin for much more than 200hp

i mean i guess if you wanted to go that route you might be able to take advantage of a street brawler 46 trim turbo kit for the 2nd gen 3sgte.....cost about 2000$ with potentials on a 3sgte to make 300whp
i could see it working well on a 5sfe

the only problem i see with that, other than needing a fully built motor, and standalone to run that much turbo, is that on a 3s, it dont spool till 4000 RPM or so..by the time it spools on the 5s (yes, its .2 liters more displacment, but the "pump" is all in the head) your nearly out of its powerband.
for what your goals sound like, a ct-27 or ct-20b would be a perfect choice.
or if you wanna go the custom one off route, i'd like to see what somthing like the gt-28rs could do...
