ok i found this very strange.
whenever i have the trunk opened, the door opened signal in the dash wont come on. why? would it be possible for me to wire up the light in the trunk to the door opened signal in the dash? its because thats a bigggg asssssssss fllllawwwwwwwww to my celi. people can juss open the trunk and the alarm wont go off. whenever i have the trunk opened in the rav4, the light goes on in that car, but not in the celi does this happen to the hatchback people too? -------------------- Is this good enuff 4 ya? :D

It shouldn't be too hard to wire up yourself. Place a contact on the trunk, and another in the car. Send the two wires to whereever one of the door sensors is. You should be able to wire it into one of the two door sensors, so that one of the two door wouldn't register closed unless the trunk was too.
The switch is officially called the "drivers side [or pass.] door courtesy switch" It shouldn't be too hard to wire. If you want wiring diagrams, there are some in the pdf celica toyota repair manual. If you don't have that drop me a email, and I can attach the pdf's for you.
