I saw this somewhere about removing the intake butterfly which i guess opens under increased throttle but closes at idle or something like this. Can you remove the intake butterfly on our cars if we even have one? Will it help etc. etc...

Why would you need it to be open when you're not driving it? Also..it might help protect against water getting inside your engine.
