guys, I just got my engine replace ( 7AFE ) the previus one basicly die on me; well I got the car back yesterday from the shop, so I took the car for a test drive everything seems to be fine but after like 1 hour driving I get the CHECK ENGINE light on. so today I used the paper clip technique to pull the code and I bought a automotive computer codes book
the Code is 71 EGR EGR gas temperature signal is too low probable cause are : EGR valve, hoses, ect. EGR gas temperature sensor or circuit. vacuum switching valve for the EGR circuit ECM. so do you guys recomend me to take the car back to the shop or take it to the dealer ? Off topic I also got a message from the company that I ordered my wheels, they said that thet sent me one wrong wheel. ![]() -------------------- ![]() |

I'd go to a dealer and ask the mechanics if they've seen the code before and what a suggested fix is. Don't let them take the car in and check, unless they're not gonna charge you for it.
If it's anything you have to spend money on, take it back to the shop first and see if they'll fix it for free. |
