From what it looks like you want to spend about $350 shipped (for that much you can get something way better)
One thing that I've learned is that you dont want to buy no name amps, and that you should never cheap out on amps. I think the following will be a pretty good beginners system SUB http://www.cardomain.com/item/POWFUBAR10W AMP http://www.cardomain.com/item/JBLCS3001 Wiring Just get some 5ga amp wiring from walmart Then buy a $29 cap from ebay (there isn't much difference between cheap and pricy caps) Build the box ur self, first of all it will cost around $30 (not carpeted), but it will be way better then the once from a shop. Dont forget to build it to SUBwoofer specs (usually comes in the SUB manual, if not, call up the company and ask them to send you the specs for the best box) Tune that baby to 50-60HZ and deff make it ported. I've heard this sub in one of my friends friend car and it sounded way more powerful then my W6v2 which made me sad cuz I spend 499$ on that sub (but I am fine with it anyway because I know that my sub sounds better = SQ, instead of alot of bass = SPL) PS: Do not buy from ebay, buy from sounddomain.com (dont forget about 105% lowest price policy) so what you do is find the model # of whatever you want to buy. Go to www.froogle.com and search for that model number, then when u find a cheaper price go to sounddomain and give them a link to the web that you found. 1/3 times they will lower to price significantly. For example MbQuart Premium 6 1/2" cost $499 dollars from their website, I went to froogle and found a coupe of sites that sell them for $290, send the quote to sounddomain and they lowered the price t o $285 which is almost half lower. Another thing that you should do before you buy anything is check out your local forums and car chillin places because you can sometimes find really cheap deals on used stuff that people dont want. If I were you I'd go around and see if anyone has JBL BP1200.1 amp because its one of the best and used street price goes from $150 to $200 and you'll never regret buying it (+ u will never need to upgrade in the future because that amp is just amazing and powerful). Oh here's one more thing, do not buy SONY, Kenwood, Pioneer because they are just not close to being as good us Polk, Mbquart, JBL, JL, Eclipse, Infinity. just my .02 cents -------------------- <<AKA THA RUSSIAN>>
