hello people!
about a month ago i FINALLY became an owner of a 6th geni celica - after many years of craving for one. much of the SQ audio system i had in my ex-corolla is now waiting for an installation. i was looking today for some kind of hole i could use to put in the 10mm2 (awg 1 or 0 i guess) power wire (from the battery to the cabin) but couldnt find anything i'm running a 97 ST with air conditioning, abs and all the good stuff. also i'll probably be getting new speakers for my car. bare in mind, GOOD speakers are a NIGHTMARE to buy here (and i pretty much CANT order stuff from the net). the choice comes down to three contenders: jbl gto6507c OR apline type S 171A or ground zero hydrogen 17cm components (a completely unknown yet quite expensive german brand). i believe the JBL component system should sound the best and cost the least, but i'm waiting for feedback from all you car audio enthusiasts (i know there's a whole bunch of you here! -------------------- You say you love flowers but you pick them, You say you love animals but you eat them, I fear the day you'll tell me you love me.

Ground zeros are some good quality stuff for sure. Cost a bit much but sounds good too.

If you are standing in front of the car with the hood open, facing the engine, there is a hole through the firewall from the front left corner of the hood (right behind the filler tube for the . . . brake fluid, I think, I can check if you like). This feeds through to the driver's footwell, right by the kick panel on the right side. You may have to enlarge it to run AWG 0 (heck of a wire, that is!). You will have to remove the small kick panel inside; there is a plastic nut, as well as lifting your door sill and the trim that runs by the dash. Let me know if you need pics; I can try and get them. QUOTE(Nibbe @ Jul 2, 2006 - 11:59 AM) Ground zeros are some good quality stuff for sure. K-ESD, jess, could both of you please get some photos? both of your methods make sense.. although i'm not sure i'll be able to but the mudguard back together once i take it off. looks really well bolted together that thing -------------------- You say you love flowers but you pick them, You say you love animals but you eat them, I fear the day you'll tell me you love me.
