I went over to a friend's house this morning and we put on my coilovers. It was a little more complex than I imagined, but he had a few nice tricks. One of those tricks is this- before putting the gas insert into the front struts, fill the strut with a little bit of anti-freeze, it will help with the heat exchange inside.
We were lucky enough to have his air tools and a table grinder to work with, since the spring perch in back is too small to fit. I will post pictures of before and after tomorrow maybe, depending on what I do after work. I do have to say this: it rides nice!! It isn't a bouncy ride, and it isn't like you have no suspension. It feels like a stiff stock setup. We didn't lower it too much, because I didn't have camber bolts. I would say maybe 1.75-2 in front and 1.5-1.75 rear, but we got it aligned good enough for it to be put off until tomorrow after work. Camber isn't bad. Not really noticeable unless you are looking for it.

Overall I am happy with my purchase. It feels like the Celica should.

...maybe there will be a shot of a nice 4A somewhere in this thread a little later.... biggrin.gif
