UPGRADE TURBO??, Need some advices and explanation... Options

im not too tuned up with all the forced inductions and all, but i came across a CT27 turbo that had higher rating than the CT20B turbo....i was reading some forums on the CT20B that it is a better turbo to get b/c its used in the WRC(s), correct me if im wrong...but now i heard about this new CT27 Turbo that my friend has on his 3SGTE MR2...what's that, he says it hauls a$$; i would think it does because it's turboed, but the CT27 looks like the CT26 turbo to me...any clearification 6gc fam?

the CT-27 is an upgraded version of the '26, with a larger TO4E 46trim compressor wheel, and a machined out housing for more flow.
its made basicly to be a alternative to the ct-20b, which you can typicly only find used.

i HAVE the ct-27, and my advice would be this.
if you can find a KNOWN ct-20b thats in GREAT condition, for under 500, its worth it, otherwise, its just not worth the chance you take buying a used turbo.
ct-20b's are basicly unrebuildable in the USA cause you cant get the parts for them.
