yea i did the exact same thing as hyper a few months ago. heres my setup:
Injen short ram intake connected to flexible exhaust piping (2.5" like the injen intake) i used 2 pieces of piping to get the filter right behind the front bumper. i used those black rubber gaskets that you would see in your plumbing to connect the pieces of piping. works really well. only thing hard about it was the piping ended up being too long by like an inch so i couldnt get the filter on. oh well just cut off the extra inch and ended up slicin my hand up pretty good, but it fit alrite. And my hand healed! lol and yea the fuse box will be in the way. never thought about meltin the plastic like that, my fuse box just isnt screwed in all the way, but with the pressure from the pipe and the screw the box stays in place. you definitely have to force everything into place but you shouldnt break anything doing this. of course you have to unscrew the plastic underbody and the drivers side front splash guard to get all of the stock airbox out. cuz if your doin a CAI, you cant have any of your stock airbox in there, it'll just get in the way. good luck on this simple mod! |
