Yeah well times are changing. i'm looking to buy a used car under 10k. i just was wondering what you guys think of a 1995-1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST, GSX (comes in hatchback, and convert) i was thinking from a performance stand-point that they have much better structure than my ST will ever have + i dont feel like swapping a 3S.
-------------------- the 1/4 doesnt have patience for a ST.... so we make them ST-T's so atleast we'll sound good going slow.

I've been researching an eclipse, and I think it wouldn't be half bad, if you were to keep up with regular maintenance, and do something about the crankwalk.
A lot of these people who bitch about crankwalk, also beat the ever living **** out of these cars. It's coming from mostly younger kids who wind up pushing like 9000psi and wonder why the thing broke. Granted, it is a manufacturing defect, I believe it only affected certain years and it doesn't happen with every single eclipse out there. I'd try to get a later model eclipse GSX / GS-T (96+) and make damn sure the crank & sensors were alright, before I started doing anything serious.. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. |
