Hey all you experts. I have a bit of a dilemma, I installed my foglights yesterday afternoon and thought everything went well. Checked and made sure all my lights, signals, interior lights work and when I finally put everything back together bumper and all...I get into my car and my power windows were not working.

#2. Then I noticed my tach and spedometer were not working as well. Odometer was working of course, but when I took it up and town my street the needles weren't moving.

#3. Finally, my aftermarket alarm works and everthing, but my locks will not unlock when I hit the switch. They'll lock, but won't unlock. When I remove the key from the ignition they'll automatically unclock.

Can anyone help? I looked at the fuses, but I didn't notice any blown fuses.

Thanks,

-Christee-

The wiring directions and relays it came with are only for cars that did not have fog lights stock. But since you already have existing fog light wiring from the factory, you dont need to use any other relays. The stock fog lights are already running off relays. Everything is hooked up, all you need to do is cut the existing plug for the stock fog light harness and connect 2 wires. Foglight Positive 12v (+) should be a RED wire with a WHITE stripe. Fog light ground (-) should be a WHITE wire with a BLACK stripe.

Correct. That's how we wired them. Now to the switch, #1 connection is the black wire which we grounded it to the frame, #2 connection the positive end of the battery had an inline fuse to it also and we connected that to the switch and the 3rd connection to the switch we connected to the neg. of the battery.
I did not use the relay and distribute the current through that evenly.

I think that the way they're wired right now directly drawing power from the battery might be taking a told on the rest of my electrical. confused.gif For right now the fogs are completely disconnected.

I can't figure out where I might have shorted it and if there's a fews blown we couldn't locate it. All my fuses were in tact.

My friend is that works at toyota is going to try to help me out. He's got the actual toyota schematics so hopefully tomorrow he can look at it. So for right now, it's just sitting in my b/f's garage collecting spiders probably. kindasad.gif
