5 months ago when i lowered the celica i used the tanabe springs which have turned out to be great, i put new kybs in the back but left the original struts in the front. today the rear struts are already knockin, while the oem are still holdin strong with a 2.2 drop. Has anyone though or noticed that the toyota struts are more durable then kybs? or is it just luck.

haha yea, I only have the rear kyb gr2 struts but not the fronts. Everyone here sells Monroe and Gabriels and they are sealed. It would be hella expensive to ship out a full kyb front strut here. Then again, my friend whos car is hella slammed said he had the same problem and put bump stops. Jeff from toyotaworld gave me part numbers with a picture. Anyway, my friend said that it solved the problem and the metal sound disappeared.
