my friends brother just got a new muffler on his civic and ive been thinking about getting a new muffler for my celica soon. keep in mind were pretty new to fixing up cars and were just learning about our cars. And i was wondering if after putting in a new muffler, would the celica pass CA smog? im assumeing it would pass since there are tons of people on the streets that have aftermarket mufflers, but just to make sure im asking you guys.

Cali Smog....
I just passed smog with my muffler no problem. I did have to get a new stock intake from a Corolla which fit perfectly. The problem was my intake was not regestered (and i tossed the old one like a dumb ass ) with the state and they would not even perform the smog after inspection. When i do turbo the 7afe and have to get it smoged in an other two years im doubting it will pass the inspection. How do other after marked turboed cars get away with this in cali? Do they just know the right person or are they putting there cars back to stock when getting smoged? -sPooNr --------------------  |
