any ideas? ive never done anything like this before but ive always wondered what would be involved

I've molded a few of em, takes the a pillar, and pod that fits, way I do it is use a strong plastic glue to hold it on then fiberglass the whole thing, but you have to really scratch up the surface of the plastics so the fiberglass gets a strong hold to it. then sand it down and smooth out any uneven places, then a thin layer of a bondo or body filler, then very good sand and prime/paint.
