Hi all. I did a search on this and couldn't come up with anything, so I thought I'd ask...
I've got a 96 Vert, and when it rains, water pools on the driver's side - not inside the car where it would get the carpet wet, but somewhere inside the body. I can't see anything inside the car get wet, but I can hear it sloshing around when I drive, and if I undo my headliner near the back seat on the driver's side, I can peek down in and see some water. My guess is that there's a drain plug that has gotten clogged with something. I got underneath the car and looked, but couldn't see anything. Does anyone know the location of this drain hole that I suspect is plugged? Thanks! Samantha |

I thought initially that was where it was collecting too - first place I checked.
I replaced the top myself a few months ago and am a little too intimately acquainted with that plastic channel and the big vinyl water collecting bowl underneath the rear window. The plastic channel routes the water somewhere into the body underneath the little side window (and then outside the car). The water runs the course of the channel, then collects insode the body and sloshes. It only does it on the driver's side, so I figure whatever body drain hole there is must be plugged with junk - I just dn't know where it is to unplug it. Samantha |
