Yes, there would be that possibility, thats why I'm using the heatshield as a splash guard. But even then, we're talking very minute amounts of water. It would be really really hard for water to go around the heatshield/splashguard and into and through the filter, then up into the engine.
Although, a friend of a friend drove his integra through a rather large puddle (see pool) and sucked up enough water in his CAI to blow his engine through hood. So I always steer clear of puddles and pools. Pictures ARE coming! |
