Ok guys. I have a 95 Celica ST and I am using a short ram 3" custom intake design very very similar to Injen IS Short Ram Intake for 6gc celicas. I have read that I have better gain out of Cold Air so I've been designing how I am specifically going to have this down. Well... since I don't have a GT celica, I can't take out my driver side high beam and create a ram air intake out of the whole. So, what I plan on doing is using a INTERCOOLER as my filter. In other words, I'm going to mount the intercooler at the front and custom pipe it to my throttle body. And I'll cover up the other side of the intercooler with a cap for the whole. That way, it is cold air / ram air intake. Do you guys think this would work? Any suggestions? I mean, I plan on turbo charging the engine anyway.

Air would get into the intercooler just as any intercooler would get air. I'm mounting it at the front like I would any turbo charged celica but instead of have the pipe from the turbo to intercooler connected, I block that off with a cap becuz im not turbo'd and pipe the other side to the throttle body just as any turbo.
