Currently, my car is in the shop for a check up. The '97 GT has about 96,000 miles on it and my mechanic has taken a look and suggested the following:
Replace Timing belt (And some other components in this area) Replace Spark Plugs Replace Fuel Filter Replace Belts & Hoses (Look kinda worn) Replace PCV Valve Does this sound right? Is there anything he is missing or should not include? Just want to get some opinions before I lay out the cash. |

If he's gonna be doing the belts and hoses I would have the water pump done. They aren't that expensive but they do go bad and most of the cost to replace them is the labor to get the belts off and back on. Also if he's going to change the fuel filter and plugs you might want to have the injectors cleaned. They probably have some carbon built up on them. |
