how do you get the manual window crank off the door so you can take the door panel off? if anybody could give me some details that would be great.
the reason i want to take the panel off: i'm trying to fix a problem with my power door locks (refer to my previous post). i was told to take the plugs out of the actuator and spray wd40 into them, but how do you get the plug out? is the actuator the black piston type of thing near the top of the door on the inside? if anybody has pics of this it would help me out a lot. thanks |

I think I see what jess is saying...work the rag behind the crank so that you can kind pull on it and maybe push the C-clip (that metal piece I mentioned) more into view? Maybe if you pull hard enough it would pop out? You may have to turn the crank around too, because the clip can be on at any angle...
Is the hole in the panel that the crank is attached through big enough to just pull the panel out and look inside that way? Or even to just pull te panel out over the crank, leaving it on? -------------------- ![]() "I bet you drive a standard." "You could make some money off that bet." :D |
