my gas pedal seems to stick, and takes a little more force to push it down initially. i thought it might be the spring on the throttle body that was sticking, but i oiled that with some WD40, and it didn't work. i don't think it is the throttle cable itself because this doesn't happen when the car is off, only when it is running.

does anybody have any idea why this is happening?

Mine did that but it mostly stuck after I was sitting at a light for a few minutes. It RARELY stuck while I was cruising and then tried to accelerate a little more. It felt like there was a brick or something under the gas pedal and then you push harder and VROOM, you take off.

I'm not sure the cause but I took it to the Toyota dealer and they fixed it for like 80 bucks.
