so i have a JVC headunit everything else in my system is stock and am thinking of buying this: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-O7gMcRHPhOh/c...00&I=500SPS171A
i found it for $113 shipped. i was just wondering if anyone had any opinions on these speakers. i know alpine is supposed to be good, but i just want to see what more experienced people thought of them. i choose these because i'm really not looking to buy an amp and not to spend too much either.

i bought those same components but returned them for sps170a. at first i wanted the sps171a components in front with sps170a coaxials in back. after opening the sps171a box though, they looked like a pain in the ass to install though, and i didnt want to deal with locating the tweeter since my car (and likely yours too being an ST) has the base 4-speaker sound system without tweeters. so unless youre a hardcore audiophile, id just get the sps170a like i did. they sound good, and there a bit cheaper. just my 2 cents.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.
