I've had coilovers on my car for over a year now and one just started sqeaking over every change/bump/hole on the road. Does this mean its shot, or its just making noise.....can I stop the noise? Thanks for any help on this....and i haven't looked around yet so if this is discussed elsewhere let me know. Thanks,

what kind of coilovers? your gana wana check the rubber rings around the strut between the sleve to ensure there not torn up, and check the rubber ring pads between the springs and the top and bottum purch. also check that its not the shock, I bet its the shock over the coilover, make sure you have the bump stop in it (stock one cut in half is best)
and wd40 it, but watch out dont wana get even the smallest drop of wd40 on your breaks. This post has been edited by creis: Jul 25, 2006 - 2:47 PM -------------------- ![]() |

Also when are they squeaking? uptravel or downtravel? How much has your car been lowered?
