I've had coilovers on my car for over a year now and one just started sqeaking over every change/bump/hole on the road. Does this mean its shot, or its just making noise.....can I stop the noise? Thanks for any help on this....and i haven't looked around yet so if this is discussed elsewhere let me know. Thanks,

The squeaking stopped due to the power of WD-40, thanks for the recommendation.... but my coilover in the front left makes a creaking noise like the spring is shifting whenver i turn sharply like in parking lots thats been going on for about 6 months now, Maybe the spring just shifts everywhere? Thats my next issue to tackle.... my car is lowered about 2 inches i'd say.

Helper springs will explain more about these later I g2g The spring could be popping in and outta space when the suspension extends past the springs length, cause when you lower your car via coilovers, you're moving the springs seat(or boot)down on the strut, and when your suspension travels down because of a dip in the road or bodyroll w/ the inside suspension extending the strut is extending out farther than the length of the spring, thus spring shifts. Helper springs are very short very soft springs that sit on top of your regular springs and under normal conditions these springs are fully compressed, but when your strut extends past the length of the spring the helper springs "help" by extending out to keep the spring from popping out of place(which can cause serious problems coming out of a hard turn).
