Hey guys...it can be done.

I've got a roof rack for my 94 'GT that works well. Only used it once for a long weekend, but I drove 300 miles each way, and with 3 (count em, THREE) full size bikes on top there wasn't a problem at all. I've got a road bike, a mountain bike, and a whole ton of nordic skis to carry around, so I made sure that some rack manufacturer had the right stuff to fit the car before I bought it.

I went with Yakima (that was the cheapest for me):
Q-Towers PN 8000124
Q Stretch Kit PN 8000134
48" Cross Bars PN 8000408
Q11 Clips PN 8000611

I had the bars already, so between the towers, the Stretch kit, and the clips, i think I shelled out maybe 250-300. You can go to yakima's website to find all this out as well, i figured i'd save ya the trip. Thule also makes a rack, and I'm sure there's probably 3 other manufacturers that have something, but all my Nordic teammates and I use Yakima, hasn't let us down.
