I've had coilovers on my car for over a year now and one just started sqeaking over every change/bump/hole on the road. Does this mean its shot, or its just making noise.....can I stop the noise? Thanks for any help on this....and i haven't looked around yet so if this is discussed elsewhere let me know. Thanks,

CV joints usually don't make creaking noises.....
Before you put WD40 on the shock, you should have checked to see if there was any fluid on it. It could be leaking. Also, WD40 isn't good to put where it will come in contact with rubber.... You should try silicone or teflon spray. The shocks came with the springs as one package, right? If so, the shock travel should match the spring..... Are you sure it's not your swaybar bushings? -------------------- ![]() |
